Travel
An
invitation to travel is provided after your completed dossier is
registered in the SDAPRC, by the order of your
registration number. After arriving in Ukraine you will go to
the SDAPRC for your appointment. Once you receive the referral
of your child from the Director of the SDAPRC, you will travel
to the child’s region to visit the child. Selection paperwork
could begin at that time, if the referral of the child is
accepted. After court, a mandatory 10- to 30-day
waiting period may be instituted by the judge. Once the waiting
period is complete, your interview with the US Embassy in Kiev
will be scheduled, at which time you will obtain your child’s
U.S. visa to complete the adoption process and return home. Our
travel associate in Ukraine escorts families while in country to
complete the registration and the court procedures to finalize
the adoption in the city your child is located. The travel
associate will also assist families in legalization of your
documents and obtaining your child’s US Visa at the embassy in
Kiev.
