Gift of Love International Adoptions, Inc., strives to improve the lives of children and families globally and locally.  Gift of Love International Adoptions, Inc has established International Humanitarian Aid Programs, and also feels local community involvement is equally important.  Gift of Love International Adoptions, Inc., their staff, board, adoptive families, and volunteers participate in various community activities throughout the year to help support children and families in our local community. 

2006-2007 Activities

Des Moines Community Education:

Gift of Love staff have taught "If You're Thinking About Adoption...", three times each year, since Spring 2006.

Iowa Public Television:

Iowa Public Television is Iowa's statewide public broadcasting network providing educational shows for families and children, (www.iptv.org).  Gift of Love International Adoptions, Inc. staff and volunteers participated in the March 2007 "Festival" Program to help raise funds to support the continuing effort to provide educational programs for Iowa's children and families. Toys for Tots:

Gift of Love has participated in the Toys for Tots drive through the US Marine Corp since 2005.  At the Agency's annual Holiday Party, typically held the 2nd Saturday in December, a drop-box is available for attendees to bring new, unwrapped gifts to be delivered to the Toys for Tots office in Des Moines, before Christmas.
